Clean Wood Kitchen Cabinet Doors

Dampen a cloth in a 50 50 solution of water and vinegar apply to the prints and buff clean with a polishing cloth.

Pour a small amount of the oil soap onto a clean towel and go over the entire cabinet with a light layer of the oil soap. Removing buildup might be a more involved step if your cabinet facing is more intricate. You don t want to get the cabinets soaking wet because moisture may warp the wood. Don t forget to address the sides of each drawer and door while you re wiping.

Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe the cleaner on the outside of the cabinet doors and drawers. Wring out the cloth you re using so that it s damp but not dripping. After letting it sit for a moment wipe off the solution with fresh microfiber towel again making sure to dry in the direction of the grain of wood. Using your cleaner of choice spray or wipe cabinet fronts one at a time.

Wipe the cleaner on drawer pulls and door handles. Wipe each one down with your cloth. Dip a clean washcloth or cleaning rag into the vinegar solution and use it to wipe down the cabinet doors and underneath the cabinets. Get the insides too.

You may need to use a little elbow grease to remove heavy grease and grime buildup. To finish wipe off any lingering cleaner with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly. The oily residue on fingers can leave behind unsightly marks on cabinet doors and hardware. The vinegar smell will go away as soon as the cabinets dry.
